Uphold® Wallet — Access, Security & Troubleshooting (Plus Ledger® Tips)

What is the Uphold® Wallet?

The Uphold® Wallet is a multi-asset custodial wallet and marketplace that lets you hold, convert, send and receive cryptocurrencies, fiat currencies and precious metals from a single account. With an easy web and mobile interface (Uphold® Live App), it targets both new and experienced users who value convenience plus regulatory-compliant verification.

Getting started

Create an account at the official login page: uphold.com/login. Download the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play via links on the Uphold site. Complete KYC verification to unlock higher limits and fiat on-ramps.

Security essentials

  • Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) through an authenticator app or SMS.
  • Use a strong, unique password and a password manager.
  • Beware phishing: only use official Uphold® URLs and the official mobile app.
Pro tip: If you use a hardware wallet like Ledger® for non-custodial storage, keep only active trading funds on Uphold® and long-term holdings in your Ledger® device for extra security.

Access & Login — common flows

Standard access to Uphold® requires email and password plus 2FA if enabled. For support and account recovery use the official Help Center: Uphold® Help Center.

Troubleshooting common Uphold® issues

Below are practical fixes for frequent problems users encounter when accessing or using their Uphold® Wallet.

Uphold® Login not working / Unable to login Uphold®

Steps: confirm email, try password reset via the account recovery page, clear browser cache, update the app, and disable VPNs. If you suspect account compromise, contact support immediately via the Help Center.

Uphold® 2FA reset

Lost your authenticator? Use backup codes if you saved them, or follow the official 2FA reset process in the Help Center. Uphold® will require identity verification for security.

Can't verify Uphold® wallet / Uphold® error decline

Verification failures often stem from mismatched ID data, poor photo quality, or expired documents. Upload clear documents and follow the KYC prompts. Transaction declines may be due to insufficient funds, AML checks or unverified status — complete verification and retry.

Error connecting Uphold® account / Uphold® app not working

Try logging in from another device, update or reinstall the app, and check Uphold®’s status page or Help Center for outages. Reach out to support if the problem persists.
